This months issue of DLIST magazine did a nice little write up about my good friends The Staxx Brothers, who’s videos I have posted here. They gave me a nice shout out on the bottom of the page about our new upcoming video that will be a zombie massacre. Check it out!
My sketch I did with Seattle native comedian Kyle Cease and his clan of bootcampers is sitting at #1 on Atom.com. Spread this around as much as you can. We want a show deal with Comedy Central!!
This is the second video I have collaborated with The Staxx Brothers on. They asked me to add a little of my mojo to the edit that Dave Wilson put together. The pawn shop scene was originally at the end of the video but I felt it might be a little stronger to put that piece at the front as a lead in. I like to have the song come to an end with maybe a short little something extra like the farmer. Keeping the video going after the song ends, I think, makes you forget about the song that the video is all about.
I also went through and did the color isolation to add a bit of something extra to the video. Since it wasn’t shot in HD or with a particular high end camera I wanted the viewer to focus on something else instead of the poor quality video. I think there are some really nice scenes that this effect made even stronger, like the one where the violin player is in the tree.
We have one more music video that I shot and edited for the Staxx Brothers coming up that I think is going to be hit. Its fun, it’s sexy, it’s a great tune, so watch out for that release next week.
Have you ever been watching a stand-up comedian, and they are so bad you start to get embarrassed for them? Or listened to someone sing the national anthem and they are screwing it up so bad that you start to sweat for them.
Well, what if you willingly put something out there that made people feel this way and knew it would make people feel this way?
Just a little music video I did about Chuck Norris. No big deal. Except, that its a HUGE deal!! I mean we’re talkin Chuck Norris here!! See if you can spot the local American Idol celebrity??
Be careful when watching. This video is known to cause roundhouse kicks to the head.
ENJOY and LEAVE COMMENTS!! I love to hear what you guys think of my vids.
Here is a little vid me and my friends at The Beta Society made about a story John Curley told us when he came to perform at one of our live shows. We just loved the fact that Alan Thicke referred to himself as “The Thicke”. Who does that?? We started coming up with our own “Thickisms” like, “The Thicke once peeled and orange with his mind”, or “Who is The Thickes best friend?, Wolverine!” We thought is was so funny we reenacted the whole thing.
If you haven’t heard of The Staxx Brothers, then you are missing out the best live band in Seattle. The rock-soul-funktastic group commands the stage and keeps you rockin the whole time their on it. From Davin Stedman, the front-man who has enough stage energy to power a small village, to the hot sexy Staquelettes, to the incredibly talented Ayo, it is impossible to leave one of their shows without saying, “Damn, their good!”
Here is their first music video. I shot and directed this and had such a good time doing it. The song is “Name Dropper”. Enjoy!!
